Why can't I just sign up?
Trabbu is in beta testing mode and is currently accepting new testers who would like to raise money for just about any need. Sign up here»

What exactly is Trabbu?
Pretty simple: Trabbu is a crowdfunding site that's geared towards family + friends helping out each other with getting just about any need.

What happens when the target amount is not reached?
Bad news first: The person will be short of their goal, ultimately preventing them from getting what they wanted. Good news: The donors get their dough back.

What does "Anything helps!" mean? (important)
An "Anything helps!" campaign means that this person has already or will for-sure be spending their own money on the expense. Your donation would help them get back what they've already spent - They're already out-of-pocket. In this case, your donation does not refund if the target amount is not reached. This type of campaign is open-ended

Do the campaigns expire?
Indeed. They all expire on 5pm on the day of expiration - This date can be found just below "That leaves" section on the user's page.

How much does this cost?
This costs the person pitching in nothing! But the person with the campaign will have to cover Paypal fees, which come out to about 3.5% on average.

Michael's Story

My name is Michael Perry, more recognizably known as MP. I started a company earlier in 2011, as many of you know, called GVING. My passion and love for GVING is strong, and selfless. I've gone as far as to pay developers while sitting in an apartment with no electricity, so our process wouldn't stop. Now it is time to grow, and I need your help. I need to get to NYC to sign up more businesses. In order for my dreams to come true, GVING has to dominate the Big Apple. In these tougher times, I know it is difficult, but any support is greatly appreciated.

How does this all work?

Here is someone that is in need of something, and wishes they could afford it.

They create a Trabbu page, which explains what they need, when, how much it would cost, and their story behind it.

Next they share their Trabbu page with their friends and family via Facebook, Twitter, Google+, IM, email, and word of mouth.

The family and friends see someone they know (and care dearly for) in need and pitch in however much they want in order to help out.

Once the amount is met, the money gets transferred to their bank account. Thanks to family & friends, that need is now a reality!
